Masonry/bricklaying is an old skill that is always in demand. This 8 day program provides theory and hands-on training for bricklaying/masonry as well as safety fundamentals to operate equipment and power tools In this hands-on training program, students will learn the following: - Safety tips - Preparation - Material - Laying brick - Columns, pillars - Fireplaces - Chimneys and much more After the 8 day hands-on program, you will gain a range of problem solving and practical skills that will qualify to obtain entry-level employment in the following areas: - Brick Layer - Restoration Mason - Stone Work Renovation Learning Outcomes After this hands-on training, you will demonstrate the ability to: - Function as mason/bricklayer in the building industry particularly in the areas of new houses/additions/restoration and renovation etc. - Provide safety for self, co-workers, and the general public in all work settings - Apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes to execute high quality work - Communicate effectively with clients, project personals, fellow bricklayers/masons, and persons from associated trades This 8-day course will provide you with the confidence, knowledge and applied skills to land a career in the bricklaying/masonry industry.
