My journey with Young Living started a little over a year ago when my mother in law bought me a starter kit that I did not want!
I had been very skeptical and resisted using natural alternatives because I didn't like the lack of integrity in so many natural health companies. I felt that so many healthy alternatives marketed to the uneducated and took advantage of sensational claims and popular opinion. I used the oils in my kit occasionaly because lets face it... they smell amazing! But then one day my son was having an absolute melt down. I decided to give Lavender a try as it was one of the NHP (natural health products) approved by Health Canada for enhancing relaxation. To my utter suprise my boy calmed down and ended up falling asleep with in 15 minutes. Up to that point nothing worked with him. I thought maybe it was a fluke and used it a few more times all with the same consistant and reliable result. That is when I started doing my research. I read and watched everything I could get my hands on. I read Young Living material, I read competitions literature, I watched videos and facebook live videos from aromatherapists. I even started taking an aromatherapy course on line. The more I read the more I realized that Young Living is the real deal. What I fell in love with was the full disclosure that Young Living offers. I can go (and I have) to the farms where the plants are grown I can see for my self that they are grown without pesticides and that they are distilled on site. I even participated in transplanting a few lavender plants myself. I was able to see the distilation process in action and see that what they say in the brochures and catalogues and on line is actually what happens in real life. They call it the "Seed To Seal Promise". They control the whole process from the seeds they plant to the cultivating of the plants, the harvesting and distilation process and then the testing of the purity and bottling of the oil. So from start to finish I know that I am getting what I pay for and I can trust the integrity of the company. Some of the other things that I found in digging around a bit is that in order for a company to claim that an essential oil is 100% pure theraputic grade essential oil there only has to be 5% actual essential oil! WHAT IS THE OTHER 95%?? That said I am hopeful that there are other companies out there that put more than 5% oil in the bottles they sell. The reason I choose and will always choose Young Living is because I was able to witness myself that 100% of what is in the bottle is 100% pure essential oil. I have found through my own personal experiences that Young Living lives up to the reputation of being the absolute best. That is why I decided to persue it as a business. I have done other network marketing business and in home party type business. With each of them I liked the product and was willing to sell them, but with Young Living it has become my passion. I feel that I not only enjoy and am willing to "sell" the product but I am excited to teach people that there is life outside the pharmacy. A healty alternative that even my medical science based friends can appreciate and DO use. I love teaching people how to find out for themselves. I think my favorite part is that I can simply share my own personal experiences. I don't have to hold up a picture of a person that I don't know who had an amazing result. I can tell you MY amazing result. I can talk about how it has helped my childern and my husband. I can also talk about people I know and the results I have seen personally.
