Proper dental care is important from the moment your child’s first tooth appears. Both the Canadian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend that your child’s first dental visit should be on the appearance of his or her first tooth – or 12 months of age, which ever comes first.
