Cindy Gallant founded The Peddlar & Company in the summer of 2006 in Paris, Ontario. Starting as a home décor and candle shop, The Peddlar has since expanded twice, staying in the same location.
Since the stores inception, it’s product lines have broadened to consist of such items as purses, pashminas, unique gifts and decorations. The Peddlar is also the home of a year round Christmas room and carries various lines of product such as an Ontario based home made goat-milk soap line, a New York City Jewellery line, a local small furniture line and - it’s newest addition – a carry-out, or buy-by-the-ounce Tea line consisting of a variety of black, green, organic, oolong, rooibos, earl grey and specialty teas. If you appreciate faerie life, you'll find the most adorable garden faeries waiting to go home with you. Also, as the primary provider for Paris, The Peddlar carries an extensive collection of Country Home Candle scents in many sizes and shapes. The Peddlar also supports local artists specializing in stained glass pieces, wood turning, walking stick carvings and more.
