Description
I started making jewellery in Vancouver, British Columbia. I was fortunate to have my apprenticeship with William Boder, a Hungarian goldsmith from Budapest who was well versed in classical techniques and design. I continued to work with European-trained Swiss jewelers Tony Cavelti and Peter Bruderer, embracing their high standards and understanding that good design is essential for desirable jewellery. I was honored to work with Susan Clark's gallery for a short time. Susan encouraged me not only as a craftsman but as a designer.
I decided to start my own studio in North Vancouver. Since 2005 I've been designing and making jewellery in Dundarave for those who want unique quality pieces. It gives me a great deal of pleasure to work with my clients in helping them to obtain their hearts' desire.
There is a selection of one-of-a-kind pieces I meticulously created from the finest materials available to browse in my studio. Although I do not do repairs, I am able to make something new out of old jewellery, as long as the materials are of quality. Old stones can be re-cut or polished. Sometimes people feel sentimental about their inherited jewellery but because it's out-dated or doesn't suit them personally it just sits at home in a box. You can still retain the elements of your heritage by remaking the materials into something new and at the same time save money and recycle.
The images on my website are one of a kind originals, examples of the many possibilities I have to offer. I may do something similar for a future client but the pieces remain uniquely original.
