Benn Adeoba -- ReMax Sales Rep.
1885 Wilson Ave,Business details
Description
My name is Benn Adeoba, and I moved to Canada (with my siblings) in 1998, in pursuit of the Canadian dream.
My background lies in Business Accounting (from Humber College in Etobicoke), and Real Estate (OREA Real Estate College). I am also a 3rd Level CGA Candidate, and I'm always looking to learn.
With over 5 years as a Real Estate Broker with Canada’s number one brokerage, RE/MAX, I have enjoyed helping Canadian residents to acquire their dreams, while gaining outstanding sales achievements awards.
My career began as a Security Officer while attending college. With demonstration of strong leadership, dedication and hard work, I shortly became a Supervisor and subsequently the Director of Security and Operations at Etobicoke’s Cloverdale Mall. After this, I later pursued a property management certificate with the Institute of Housing Management and progressively became a property manager. With your help, if elected, I will help bring this management experience to assist our City Council in balancing budgets, preventative maintenance, and meeting etiquette.
Coaching and advocating for youth in our community is also a large priority of mine. I currently enjoy coaching girls and boys soccer teams (under 14/15) with BramsEast Soccer Club, and BramsUnited Girls Soccer Club. I actively work with youth because I’d like to see them reach their highest potential, and be able to follow their dreams in life. I will do everything I can to ensure that the children in Ward 2 have the most opportunities possible to reach their dreams.
Additionally, I am a member of other organizations (professional and volunteer). In the past, I was fortunate enough to work with the Toronto and Peel District School Board in youth development and co-op placement programs. Currently, I serve as the Youth Coordinator of Yoruba Community Association in Etobicoke, and serve as a Religious Educator at the children ministry of my home church, Rhema’s Christian Ministries. My involvement with the Canadian Black Caucus is also strong, as I serve as the Director of Finance – all in attempt to contribute to youth developing a strong political voice within our political system.
With the help of residents in Ward 2, I wish to work on building a stronger Etobicoke. Working together, we can achieve our dreams, and unleash the potential that we know we have in Ward 2. I will always be available to communicate with residents, and hope to earn your trust in representing your concerns at a citywide level. Together, we can build a stronger Etobicoke!
I look forward to hearing comments and concerns from everyone in the coming months as to how we can continue to improve our community in Ward 2.
