The Horseshoe J Dude Ranch (1957) has been offering horse experiences for over 50 years. The ranch is located only 35 minutes south west of London or 20 minutes west of St.Thomas. The ranch is home to over 40 horses and ponies to suit all levels of riding.
The Horseshoe J Dude Ranch offers hourly trail riding, summer horse camps for children, family camps, birthday party packages, Horse clubs, pony clubs, western riding lessons, group lessons, private lessons, family reunion outings, overnight cabins for groups, such as Girl Guides, Scouts, Youth Groups, schools, or just a group of friends. In 2011, a brand new Indoor Riding Arena was added, allowing lessons, birthday parties, and horse clubs to run during the colder and wetter months. A large heated viewing room, a tack room, and 2 spacious bathrooms (wheelchair accessible bathroom) is also a wonderful addition. Summer 2013, the ranch is offering 6 week long residential camps, a 2 night camp and also a Family Camp. Our "Wranglers" (children) have the option to sleep in a Conestoga covered wagon or a cabin. The camps are limited to a maximum of 28 "wranglers" per session, thereby allowing for maximum personal attention. Each "Wrangler" is assigned their own horse for their stay on the ranch. With a large selection of horses, we are able to accommodate children ages 5 to 18, from the very beginner rider to the more advanced. Many hours are spent daily out on the beautiful trails through the woods and valley. Along with the horseback riding, the "Wranglers" participate in a complete camp program including swimming (large in ground pool with a slide and diving board), hayrides, campfires, skit night, movies in the barn, cook-outs, archery, outdoor games, flashlight tag, pony games, and much more.
