Windsor Tent & Awning is independently owned and operated by Manny Farao and we have anywhere between 5-15 employees at any given time.
Manny has owned Windsor Tent & Awning since Sept .1991, but as anyone in Windsor can tell you, Windsor Tent & Awning has been around almost forever. We have conflicting reports from different archives saying that Windsor Tent & Awning was established in 1896 or 1903. The Windsor public Library archives has a file in which we found out that back in 1917, Windsor Awning & Tent was located at 49 Sandwich St W. In approximately 1978, an awning company bought Windsor Tent & Awning and changed its name. Manny was hired in 1981 as a welder and soon after learned how to sew and then install awnings. As time went on, he moved up to sales manager and worked for them for 10 years before he had the opportunity to purchase it from them. He then immediately changed the name back to Windsor Tent & Awning. Needless to say, we are here to stay. As long as there is sun, people will have a need for awnings.
