Fogg N' Suds Restaurant
1323 Robson Street,Business details
Description
Fogg n’ Suds was born in October of 1983 with the opening of its first restaurant by a couple of Vancouver school teachers. The Jules Verne novel ‘Around the world in 80 Days’ with main character, Phileas Fogg traveling the globe became the inspiration for a unique concept restaurant with the dream of traveling ‘Around the world in 80 Beers’ with an international food menu to match.
While setting the goal at 80 worldly beers seemed like a fitting number, getting these beers imported to Vancouver was a hearty challenge. At the time the B.C. liquor stores carried approximately a dozen different brands, many of which were local. With the determination to wake British Columbia up to ‘beeraucracy’, a list was assembled for opening day with a magical 100 beers imported from around the globe. Featuring Canada’s biggest import beer list there was literally a ‘revolution brewing’ and the public eagerly excited their taste buds with the food and import beer choices that we had made available to them for the first time.
Since those days Fogg n’ Suds has been a leader in the casual dining and beer industry. Our restaurant is a contemporary setting that delivers and is known for its product freshness, quality and value; menu variety; with friendly and knowledgeable service.
