Metro Glass was founded in 1971 by Fred Whyte and has grown to become a major supplier/subcontractor in the commercial glass industry in Calgary and Southern Alberta. With its 12,000 square ft. manufacturing plant and office space at its current location since 1978, Metro Glass has provided high quality aluminum products in the construction industry for the past 41 years.
Metro Glass is currently managed and operated by Fred Whyte’s son Cliff Whyte. Cliff Whyte has been with Metro since 1978. With his 34 years experience in commercial glass and glazing and his honorable business attitude, Metro has earned a reputation of not only a seller of high quality aluminum products but also a trust worthy supplier/subcontractor in the Calgary construction industry. Metro Glass fabricates and installs architectural aluminum products that meet a wide range of structural demands. We are not only a recognized Alumincor Dealer – we also carry our own full line of extrusions with equal or higher quality but at a competitive price.
