NEAT STUFF was founded in 1983 by Dorothee Ward as a Kiosk in the middle of the Pen Centre Mall, St. Catharines, Ontario. She had noticed the lack of fun items in the mall and was inspired to create something new for children. Dorothee started with a small inventory of stock and called it Neat Stuff. Dorothee's daughter Charlene Violin, now the vice-president of the company, started working at Neat Stuff full time 15 years ago and has had a major part in taking the store into a new direction. They decided after 12 years of being in a kiosk to move into a store to provide more products. Neat Stuff is no longer geared towards just children. It now holds highly sought after items such as jewellery, clothing, crocs, baby gifts, home décor items and much more. Neat Stuff still remains true to its name and focuses toward selling exciting items that can be fun for everyone!
