For 36 years now, Lynne’s Little Elf Garden Centre has been beautifying gardens throughout the Capital Region – from right here in the West Shore.

Chip-lined paths meander throughout the property, where plants are largely grouped according to species, backdropped by lovely gardens that allow visitors to see many of the plants thriving in a natural setting. Need ideas? Owners Lynne Hedstrom-McAuley and Tony McAuley, along with nursery manager Ben Bodnar offer a wealth of gardening knowledge and experience. “I love it. It started very small, and now there isn’t a patch that doesn’t have plants or shrubs or trees,” Lynne says of her Old English-style garden centre. In addition to their specialty – rhododendrons – expect also to find an interesting array of unique and rare perennials, along with stand-outs such as beautiful magnolias, Japanese maples and fruit trees.Spring And of course, with 35 years of standing behind the plants they sell, gardeners know they can count on the finding only the best quality at Lynne’s, with an eye to local products as much as possible. In addition to their selection, it’s the service visitors enjoy that truly sets Lynne’s Little Elf Garden Centre apart. “We provide great service,” Lynne emphasizes. “Otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed in business for 35 years!” Believing in supporting the community that has supported her for more than three decades, the garden centre partners with a number of local organizations for hanging basket fundraisers and welcomes school classes that want to learn more about plants and gardening.
