Description

Although High Point College was originally established in 1997 as an English Language School, our College has now expanded to include an accredited High School as well as ESL - offering not only Academic ESL but also ESL specific to a variety of business and professional needs. In addition, we offer TOEFL and other test preparation courses which are often required by universities, colleges and many professions. We are pleased to accept high school students now, offering them the Ministry inspected courses necessary to earn an Ontario High School Diploma. As of 2011, we have been welcoming local students as well as international students who wish to live and study in Ontario to learn English as well as earn a high school diploma which will then allow them to continue their academic careers anywhere in North America. We specialize in working with international students who often have a difficult time adjusting not only to a new language and country, but also to a very different education style; therefore, our experienced teachers and staff are very sensitive to the special needs faced by recent arrivals to Canada. Our teachers are all qualified graduates from fully recognized universities and have experience in teaching students from all over the world and are therefore respectful and understanding of the many different cultures and customs that students bring with them when they arrive in our school.
