Tammy Dobbs is 44 years old, born and raised in Glencairn, ON and now residing outside of New Lowell with her 11 year old daughter, Amy, as well as her common-law husband of 26 years.
Tammy has been pet sitting for family and friends for years, but made it an official business in 2010. She has a certificate in All Breed Professional Dog Grooming (but no longer actively practices), as well as a certificate in Animal Science, both of which cover first aide. Her clients have included bearded dragons, a corn snake, goats, horses, fish, a cockateil, and, of course, cats and dogs. Besides pet sitting, she is also known for helping with advice on animal care, and has a passion for keeping track of lost and found pets in the area. Tammy volunteered at a local humane society for almost 2 years where she not only helped with cleaning and care of homeless animals, but also was a team leader with the dogs, and could do adoptions of both dogs and cats. She has done fostering in the past, but presently only fosters small animals, mainly kittens for a local TNR group (which are often listed as adoptable on her Facebook page). Her own animals right now include a rescued cat named TaiChi, and 2 dogs - Marty, a Doberman and Jazz, a Scottish Terrier. She occasionally has pet rats as well - her favorite rodent! Proudly serving New Lowell, Glencairn, Lisle, Creemore, Stayner,West Wasaga Beach, south Collingwood and surrounding areas.
