The lake is surrounded by boreal forested, rolling hills, rich with Saskatchewan history. Much of the shoreline has beautiful natural sand beaches and the higher banks have mature trees. The lake has a sandbar that juts out into the middle of the lake, where many boats can be seen anchored on a hot summer’s day. It is an excellent lake for sailing, swimming, skiing, canoeing and fishing. The lake is home to the Morin Lake Regional Park which is a popular summer destination. It opens the May long weekend in and closes after the September long weekend. A public beach, swimming lessons, picnic area, playground, showers, washrooms, fishing, boat launch, nature trail, and general sani-station is available for use. Open spaces, northern lights rippling across the star filled skies are just some of the scenic outdoor events you will witness.
