Alberta Prairie Lumber is dedicated to helping our environment and using sustainable product to fill a vast lumber market. Our products come from trees cut in urban areas and provide an Alberta grown resource to the lumber market.
By using these trees cut from urban areas we remove waste that is filling our landfills, reducing excellent lumber being burned as refuse and impacting a small amount on the forest cutting we have now. Our lumber is cut as rough lumber for normal applications such as fencing and out building construction. As well we provide air dried lumber for industries such as furniture making and cabinetry. We have a diverse species of trees from soft woods such as pine or spruce to hard woods such as, maple, birch, poplar, fruit trees and many more. Our supply depends on the trees being cut in the urban areas and vary at any time. Due to drying times some lumber may not be available until later times. Prices vary due to lumber rates for dried products. Our rough green lumber can be special ordered but is normally available through Hanna Building Supplies. See their website for more information.
