I have been working with children, youth, adults and families in a variety of avenues for 15 years. I believe that each person has within themselves the resources to grow and achieve their goals - we all need someone who can help us get there at times, and that is what I provide. Whether it be a life transition in your life, substances or process addictions and recovery, eating disorders, anxiety, or parenting support, I can help. I am also experienced with working with children and youth who have been sexually abused, have high risk behaviours, anxiety, difficulty with school or transitions, or have suffered loss.
I believe that the best approach is to meet client's in the exact moment they are in - in other words, to not force the process. This client-centered approach allows for us to build a strong therapeutic foundation that creates the safety needed to talk about the areas you specify. I primarily offer an outreach service which means that I am able to come into your home (providing it is a safe space) or meet with you in the community. This is especially useful if you work from home, have small children, or have a child/youth who would prefer this option.
