Description
COMPASSION, RECOVERY, DISCOVERY
I encourage my clients to cultivate self-compassion and awareness as a foundation for dealing with difficult life experiences. Enhancing these capacities enables individuals to better understand and manage the psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual toll that trauma, grief and loss can have. Becoming more mindful and aware of your own resiliency is a key part of recovery and setting a new course where you feel grounded and in the driver's seat, better equipped to make choices that fully reflect who you are and want to be.
I have 25 years experience assisting individuals heal from trauma and loss, including unhealthy or abusive relationships (heterosexual or LGBTQ), sexual assault or harassment, harmful childhood experiences, or bullying.I provide grief counselling to individuals who have lost a loved one, or are experiencing other losses such as separation or divorce.
Our work together is to help create safety, internal and external, and take steps towards healthy, positive relationships with self and others. I provide coaching and workshops on setting better boundaries, improving interpersonal communication, fostering healthy relationships, bystander intervention and mindfulness meditation.
