There are 18 offices across Canada, where we help people with our award-winning credit and debt counselling services. When you need help, we are the best trusted experts that you can always count on.
Overview of How We Help
Resolving your debt problems is what we really care about and we will do our best to help you get back on track:
- 1) We will help you discover all of your options and determine which one will work best for you
- 2) We will help you get started with a strategy to solve your financial problems and get out of debt (we can even help with problems revolving around payday loans in any city from Ottawa to Victoria)
- 3) We also help people eliminate or decrease interest charges from credit cards and get debt relief in Ottawa with our Debt Management Program
- 4) We can help you repay your debts through our program which consolidates your debts into one manageable monthly payments that fits your budget
- 5) We help people avoid declaring bankruptcy in Ottawa, but if bankruptcy or filing a consumer proposal in Ottawa looks like it's in someone's best interest, then we will always refer them to a reputable trustee
- 6) We help put an end to collection calls
- 7) We help people use credit wisely and learn how to budget
- - We are an Accredited Member of Credit Counselling Canada, Canada’s national credit counselling association.
- - We are an Accredited Member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and have been for over 16 years. The BBB has currently graded us as an A+ business.
- - We don’t claim to serve all of Canada but then only provide service from large call centre or office in the U.S. like some other debt relief services. Instead, we open more offices every year in various communities across Canada. This is to ensure that highly qualified, local, Canadian Counsellors who know their regulations, provincial laws, economic environment, and the local financial experts are available to help clients at a local level.
- - Ensuring the highest degree of integrity and accountability is a priority for us, so we annually have our books checked by an external auditor (we are currently the only credit counselling service in Canada that does this. Hopefully other services will soon do the same).
- - 98% of our clients say that they would refer our services to others.
- - Within Canada, every single creditor works with us.
- - We ensure that our Counsellors are certified and professionally trained (many other organizations don’t do this).
- - We are ranked as one of the top 50 best workplaces in Canada by Great Place to Work Canada and were also specifically recognized for fairness in the workplace
- - Gail Vaz-Oxlade discussed the criteria of what to look for in a non-profit credit counselling service on her Toronto radio show. Our organization meets and exceeds all these criteria.
