Ontario Safety Training and Consulting is an approved training provider under Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) and the Ontario Ministry of Labour oversight.
All instructors are subject matter experts, and are deemed qualified after being vetted and approved by IHSA having a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience and completing required fundamental adult teaching and training courses. Our course curriculum and training methods are aligned with the standard set under legislation and meet guidelines in regard to course material, equipment, length of study time, and both written and hands on evaluations. Our specialty is Working at Heights Training that exceeds the standard that is mandatory April 1, 2015 Effective April 01,2015, the new standards for heights training will come into effect and be enforced by the Ontario Ministry of Labour. Workers must be trained in the new Working at Heights standard and possess proof of training by this deadline in order to be in compliance. Ontario-Safety's Working at Heights Program is tailored to: construction, electrical & utilities, and transportation industries. We also customize course subject matter for industrial and retail workers. We bring training to customers in a convenient location for participants, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Translation services are available for groups that are not fluent in English. The course improves upon and replaces IHSA's Basics of Fall Protection half-day course and do-it-yourself kit.
