Fair trade is a rapidly growing movement committed to paying living wages rather than minimum wages. Since opening for business in 2001, Brave New World has grown in our commitment to globally conscious practices. We are increasingly developing relations with clothing manufacturers operating fair trade practices in developing countries, using eco friendly fabrics like soy, viscose of bamboo, hemp, organic cotton, and regenerated cotton, even low impact dyes like vegetable dye. We buy from IFAT certified fair trade companies, small business, individual artisans, and local crafters, both here at home and internationally. There is a strong connection between business, community and environment. As a small business we want to do everything we can locally to make a positive global impact.
