Every instrument requires care. In most cases the musician maintains and tunes their own but the piano is far more technically complicated. With more than 5000 parts and upward of 240 strings it is quite a daunting exercise for a musician to routinely service their piano and still have the time and desire to play it afterward. Where it may take a guitar player a few minutes to tune his/her guitar it can take a few hours to tune a piano. My goal as a Certified Piano Technician is to provide an honest, reliable and informed service in the repair and maintenance of your piano. I believe a musician, whether they are professional or recreational, is best served by understanding the range and or limitations of their uniquely own instrument.
