Sarah – The Photographer at Heart, Living Out Her Dream!
I’m a girl that reluctantly loves reality shows, tabloid websites, and if you give me a bag of chips, don’t expect to get them back! I am a mother to two beautiful boys and a wife to a wonderful husband, and a photographer in my heart. I love weddings, and I love photography, so being a wedding photographer seems like it was written in the stars for me. How lucky am I that I get to do this for a living? It sounds so cliché, but I've loved photography since I was a kid. I've photographed so many things over the years, but nothing compares to the adrenaline and pure joy that I feel when I shoot a wedding. When a bride sees her veil in her hair for the first time and when she now realizes that this “day” is really happening, seeing her dad’s expression on his face when he sees his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time, watching the grooms eyes fill with tears as he watches his soon to be wife walk down the isle towards him, seeing the pride a father feels as he hands his daughters hand to another man for him to now look after, and watching the tears roll down a mother's cheek as she watches this all happen. There are so many moments like this during a wedding day, and it's a privilege to witness each one of them and an even bigger privilege to photograph them. After 8 years and over 145+ weddings, I've realized that it's one thing for me to be able to watch all this happen from behind a camera, but being able to show the bride and groom those emotions in an image after their wedding day is why I am a photographer.
