Originally from Bancroft Ontario, moving to Fort McMurray felt like I was coming to a small city lol. I was used to small rural town living where everyone knew everyone else!
I feel like I can really relate to the vast population in Fort McMurray, we all left our homes, family, friends and everything that was familiar to us for a better future. The lifestyle I was used to living was very different in Ontario than here in Fort McMurray. My husband and I were living on acreage, we had a small hobby farm where we were used to raising our own beef, lamb, chickens and a huge vegetable garden. You may not expect it when you meet me but I am an avid hunter and love fishing! Get me talking about either and it will be hard to get me to shut up! lol Selling Real Estate in Ontario did have its differences compared to Fort McMurray but some of the basic foundations of my business are the same here as they were there: I want to provide my clients with the security of knowing that I would not sell you a property that I would not want to buy myself or sell to my own mother! When I give you an opinion of what your home is worth it will be based on current market conditions using the best comparable homes that have recently been sold. One fo the worst things a home owner can do is list their home with an agent that is willing to overprice it to get the listing. If you do that, trust me your home will sit on the market without offers while others are selling around you.
