The First Portuguese Canadian Cultural Centre (FPCCC) was founded in 1956 by the pioneers of Portuguese Immigration to Canada.
Over time it has evolved into a multi-service organization serving the Portuguese Community in Toronto and surrounding areas. We have programs for individuals of all ages:
Youth - Current programs and service include an Heritage Language School for approximately 350 children, teens and some adults. Yearly March Break and Summer Camp for approximately 150 children aged 4 to 11.
Adults - Adult Programs such as ESL, computer classes, tapestry, painting and embroidery Classes for over 600 Adults.
Seniors - A Senior’s Centre with over 7,500 repeat visits a year. The centre provides a diverse educational, recreational and social activities in an open and friendly environment aiming to improve the quality of life of older adults. The centre prepares over 8,000 meals a year and also offers Cultural programs Direct Services, and Monthly Cultural Events that showcase Portugal’s culture and traditions.
