Our mission is to create a local community of passionate musicians. We exist to teach our students the skills necessary to independently and interdependently develop and expand on their passion for music, and to gain the confidence to share that passion with those around them. At Rhythm Tank Studio, we believe that the diverse and creative medium of music is a beautiful thing to be offered and shared by anyone, young and old, with a desire to learn. Our goal as instructors is to provide our students with a well-rounded curriculum fitted to their individual interests and goals. To accomplish this goal we assist each student in exploring their interests and goals using our own knowledge and experience, as well as resources available both immediately during lessons and in the surrounding community. These resources include composition, production, and recording software; a diverse music library; and connections to local music businesses and musicians. We wish to create a learning environment that is engaging and comfortable through flexible planning that combines the discipline of basic skill development with the freedom to pursue creativity and curiosity. These are the beliefs that drive the structuring of our lessons. We guarantee that every lesson will comprise of education in both music theory and performance. The specific aspects of this education will vary between students according to ability and interest. To enrich our students’ experience beyond lesson times, we also offer year-end recitals to give students the chance to support each other and share the results of their hard work. In future, we hope to offer recording opportunities for students seeking experience in music production as well as performance.
